CNC head not remembering Work Origin

Anyone had the problem with the 200W CNC head where it will not remember the Work Origin after returning home?

Several times now I have set the CNC bit to the correct position and hit Set Work Origin. Then I move the head around a bit, hit Go to Work Origin and it does. However, if I hit home and then then tell it to go to Work Origin the head tries to go much lower on the Z plane and pushes the CNC bit into the wood before timing out because it cannot move any further.

Any thoughts or suggestions on how to fix this are appreciated.

Cheers

Do not hit the home button, it resets your work origin for whatever reason Snapmaker decided to do. You’ll have to manually jog it out of the way if you want to move it or if you want a quicker way, send the gcode via wifi over Luban’s console.

ok this is not just a problem with my machine then - it’s a feature not a bug?!

Yep. It’s a ‘feature’. You COULD try homing via G28 and keep an eye on the work coords. That should be a raw home command and not do any extra.
