CNC cut aluminium?

Can we expect to cut aluminium with the CNC of Artisan?
If yes, what we should care about or plan to do not damage the machine?

thanks

To ensure the high accuracy of 3DP and Laser module, it’s not recommended to cut or mill metal with the 200W CNC module, especially with fast processing speeds. But if you have experience with CNC machines and metalworking experience, you can try relatively mild machining parameters (for example, 0.2 mm stepdown, 300 mm/min work speed) with special bits for soft metal like aluminum alloys and brass, but tougher metal is not recommended.

hey,
by using this slow settings like :0.2 mm stepdown, 300 mm/min work speed with special bits for soft metal like aluminum alloys and brass, the high accuracy of 3DP and Laser module should not be damaged/reduced?
thnanks for your answer!

It could really depend on the situation. There are risks still. We’re considering doing some internal tests and will let you know if there’s any update

That would be awesome !!! a video that shows best pratices, and limits when working on some materials , would be really really amazing !! Can’t wait
