I tried machining woods in 0.5mm steps with end mill, was fine. I’m very interested of machining Aluminum sheet 0.5mm thickness, anyone tried? Cheers
You can’t really cnc any metal with the Original. Quoting our tech support, “Due to the nature of the metal, if you use CNC to engrave or cut metal, the process will produce a lot of heat and some metal debris. Snapmaker Original does not have a cooling system and a way to clean metal debris, which can cause the bits breakage or accelerate machine wear.”
That’s fine, I tried with 1.5mm ball nose with 0.05 steps it look like good, I cut tool’s shank manually for get less vibes
