Despite initial problems, I am so far satisfied with my U1. However, I would like to have automatic feeding of a new spool of filament, without having to fill a second print head with the same color.
I think it should be possible to connect two feeders each via a Y-connector to one print head. Yes, the remaining two print heads would then need to be loaded manually. I suspect this should be possible via configuration.
Additionally, unlike with Infinity Flow, RFID recognition could be used.
Has anyone already tried something like this? Would open-source firmware help?
