No alternate laser head is going to be a drop-in replacement for the provided one unless it’s specifically designed to be. So you’re left with either (1) a new harware/firmware/software project to build one from scratch or (2) a reverse engineering project to find the signals on the existing laser circuity to kludge together a hybrid. I’ve not seen any prior work in either of these directions.
