A250 vs A250T what did I receive?

Hi All,

I just received a new machine yesterday, however it’s a xmas present for my son so can’t assemble yet.
How do I know that we received the purchased A250T? Box and book both say A250, Linear rails are both 8 and 20 mm but power supply doesn’t have any info to indicate an upgrade.

Thanks,

I’ve ordered the new power supply but its not arrived with the rest of my order, don’t know why.

As soon as I get it I’ll look for any obvious differences and update here.

You’ve obviously got the new linear modules, the first ones didn’t have any engraving, so I would expect that you’ve got the right machine.

As soon as you check the Model on the barcode sticker outside the box you can identify your model.

The rails are definitely new. The old only has 8mm.

If you plug in the power supply and it sounds like a jet engine you have the old one.

Here is what I received from support, in case it’s useful to others in the future:

Please don’t worry, what you received is A250T.
The packaging of A250T is the same as that of A250. The name of A250T in our warehouse is A250 (TMC2209, 2021). It means a machine with the latest TMC2209 chip upgraded in 2021.

You can open the machine you received.
The linear module of the A250T is engraved with the name and lead.

The upgraded 3D printing module has two air inlets on the front.

And the upgraded power module has different light colors and light statuses to indicate the working status, and the noise of the fan will change with the working status as well.
