I’m considering looking into the possibility of turning my A-250 into a 5-axis machine. Looks doable from what I’ve seen of DIY 5-axis machines.
There are 3 unused ports on the controller. I know one is for the rotary axis. Not sure if the other two can be used for motor control or not.
Has anyone attempted this yet?

Looking at the Github repository it looks like only 2 of the available 3 ports have the 8 pins required for motion control. But maybe that’s all that’s needed.

There was some talk about this, awhile ago.
All attempts to do something like this crash against luck of documentation about the canbus commands…
If you could crack that, a lot would become possible.
