Your opinion on this function

In the Snapmaker Orca user profile there is a function that controls an auxiliary cooling fan! Do you think this function should be activated for a J1S that has a fan at the back of the case or not?

It depends on what material you’re printing and whether you have it vented outdoors. I generally don’t run the fan when printing PLA, PETG or TPU, but venting is a good idea for some of the more toxic filaments like ASA and ABS.

Hello TheBurn,
Thanks for your answer. Basically you’re telling me that you’re not using the fan on the back of your J1S. Mine is running all the time, how do I stop it? I couldn’t find the option in the screen menus except unplug it! Thanks for your answer my friend.

I did some more research (I actually have an Artisan) and it appears that the J1S doesn’t have an enclosure fan, just a print cooling fan.

Hello TheBum, I confirm that the J1S case has a large fan at the back. The question is should it always be active even for PLA and above all should we check the box in Snapmaker Orca? Thank you
