It is taking as long as it takes - for me it’s a good sign: Instead of rushing a new product to meet user expectations (which are demanding always), I prefer a later, but mature product. Remember the teething problems of the DX module: The community was rather p*ssed, and rightly so. Give them time to do it properly!
Ah thanks for the clarification. I for some reason was conflating the two because they both operate in the non-visible spectrum.
Mind if I ask what the point is then for an IR laser? From what I’m reading the 2W IR laser will still not be able to cut acrylic or other clear materials and is just another engraver.
LOL! It’s invisible so it can’t hurt you! Ignore the fact that it can literally etch stone and metal! Your eyes will be fiiine!
I’ve done lots of research work with lasers in the invisible spectrums (extreme UV/xray) and there were plenty of horror stories of people who randomly lost their vision because of poor laser safety.
