U1Deck — A dedicated Stream Deck interface for Snapmaker U1

Hello Snapmaker community,

I am an independent developer and maker working on hardware and software integrations for physical devices.

I recently completed BambuDeck, a working Elgato Stream Deck integration tested on a real Bambu Lab P1S + AMS. It displays live printer telemetry including printer status, print progress, temperatures, fan values, speed mode, AMS colours and the active filament slot.

The current prototype is intentionally monitoring-focused. The chamber light is the only direct printer command currently implemented.

Based on this working foundation, I am proposing U1Deck: a dedicated Stream Deck interface designed specifically for the Snapmaker U1.

The goal is not simply to port BambuDeck. U1Deck would be designed around the U1’s four independent toolheads and its Klipper/Moonraker-based software stack.

Planned areas include:

  • a live U1 overview page;

  • four independent toolhead states;

  • active toolhead identification;

  • print progress and estimated remaining time;

  • nozzle, bed and chamber information;

  • filament and toolhead context;

  • warnings and unavailable states;

  • dedicated toolhead and job-detail pages;

  • carefully validated controls only after the monitoring layer is reliable.

U1Deck is currently a proposal and is not being presented as a completed U1 integration. Access to a real Snapmaker U1 would allow me to develop and validate the project against the actual machine, tool changes, telemetry and recovery states instead of relying on assumptions.

I would be very interested in feedback from U1 owners and developers:

  • Which U1 values should be visible first on a physical Stream Deck?

  • What information is most useful during multi-tool printing?

  • Which tool-change or recovery states should receive dedicated attention?

  • Are there specific Moonraker or U1 integration details that should be considered from the beginning?
