i have a polymaker panchora neon pla, so when in the printer i select just polymaker lite PLA since the panchora is not listed. well, in the orca slicer no matter what i do is not listed which is #3. when i go to Device i can see the filament there. (see second picture.) but i click on the little option to sync the filaments from the device and yet… nothing shows. i can only see three filaments listed.
what am i missing?
Personally I’d simply select in each filament option in the software the exact type (or generic) and color you want the machine to print and the machine will treat it as that filament type. From what I understand the machine may detect or have a manual input on it for your visual reference but it doesn’t really know what it has because the software is all you really need to care about…Snorca/orca is gonna tell the printer how to handle things. Also make sure to do a flushing volume test when/if you change filaments. Hope that kinda makes sense cuz there simply might be a disconnect between the machine input and the software, but the software is the boss. Regards.
Tech support sent me the filament profiles to add them in the directory. it will contain many filaments, like the ones i was refering to SUNLU, etc, etc. i will post here the outcome.
I am not certain why your particular situation happened but maybe it something to do with which version I started with a couple months ago and have simply done updates. Weird. Good luck
