I have a simple question for someone that has received their U1 already. What are the measurements of just the footprint of the U1, just the part that actual sits on the table, not the overhangs such as the top back or the filament holders. I need the width (side to side) and the depth, (front to back) of just the bottom part. Can someone send me those precise measurements?

Yeah, but currently no access to it.
Just download the attached step file, load it to Fusion or any other 3d tool and measure the distances you need. @Simon_Zhi did a great job to mock the shape of the u1.
I don’t have a U1, but according to the rather detailed model linked above, the width which includes the slightly protruding body panels is 416 mm. The depth which includes the feeder “ledge” is 500 mm. Without the ledge, the depth is 450 mm.
The body panels appear to protrude 1 mm overall but do not contact the surface on which the printer would sit.
That link will not open for me for some reason. I hadn’t been able to find any measurements without the ledge. Does that link show the depth as 450 without the ledge?
Yes, if you are seeking the “footprint” of the printer, the model in the link will stamp out 450 mm depth.
I have my answer now. My U1 is expected to arrive mid January.
