Is a tutorial or demonstration of two-color design to slicing in Orca? I know I can paint in Orca, but it seems like there ought to be a direct way to transmit material or color information from Fusion to Orca since I can design exactly what I want in Fusion.
All the discussions I see go from design to Luban and then you integration two halves in Luban. But since Snapmaker just came out with an Orca version, I think there should be a direct connection.
Update: I have created a two color model starting in Fusion, slicing in Snapmaker-Orca and transmitting to the printer (A350T). I’ve attached an image of the model. It’s the front panel for my shop made bench power supply.
To do this, I created a model in Fusion with 1/2 depth logo and lettering. In Orca, I used the fill painting tool to color just the lettering and logo. Orca sliced it and created a model with a minimum of black filament. The G-Code only changed colors three times so the print was pretty quick.
My next test is on a test model. I’m attempting to create inlay text that is flush with the face of the model. My initial test, which is printing now, was created using painting in Orca again. I’m still looking for a way of doing this that goes straight from Fusion to Orca with Orca understanding color choices I make in Fusion.
