Where is the tool macro or code for the “extrude + rapid wiggle + flapper wipe = drop poop in bucket” listed?
I have been experimenting with BreakAway support or PETG as Support Interface for PLA. The support technique is very helpful, but the prime tower behavior in Orca becomes a liability that causes frequent print failures as priming all nozzles to same tower is a death wish if those materials are incompatible.
I would very much like to use a bigger Poop bucket, and then extrude ~2mm of filament upon tool change and wipe into poop bucket.
Hi, please submit a feature request here first: https://snapmaker.formcrafts.com/general-inquiry
Additionally, there is a custom version on GitHub that has improved the prime tower design in certain aspects:Release Neotko SurfaceColorMix 1.7b + FullSpecturm v0.99 · sebsucmor-alt/OrcaFS-NeotkoCM · GitHub
I’m wondering what you’re trying to achieve? If you don’t want a prime tower, just disable it in the slicer.
Purging into the bucket won’t really help, because the backpressure in the nozzle while purging is different from actual printing. That’s the main reason for the prime tower: To prime the nozzle for printing conditions.
I completely agree that mixed prime towers from PETG and PLA are problematic, but I think a much better solution would be to just have separate towers, as was already requested here.
The Full Spectrum beta of Snapmaker Orca is v2.3.3, so does that incorporate the features in Orca v2.3.2?
There used to be a Snapmaker Orca 2.3.2 beta version 2 weeks ago. The new 2.3.3 with FS has covered the 2.3.2 beta changes, not the new features on Orca 2.3.2.
