Any tips for cutting cardboard at various thicknesses? Speed, power, passes, depth? I’m trying to do some intricate cuts, but have to make 3 passes and it burns away a good bit of material.
As some additional tips, how do you set your laser origin & focal point to get the best cuts?
Thanks!
To laser cut a custom cardboard box with various thicknesses, start by setting your laser cutter to a lower power and higher speed to avoid burning the material. For intricate cuts, multiple passes at a lower power setting are better, but you should ensure the cardboard doesn’t move between passes to maintain accuracy. Adjust the focus of the laser to be sharp on the cardboard’s surface and set the origin point at a corner to track your progress easily. Remember to test on scrap pieces to fine-tune your settings before cutting the final custom cardboard box.
