That’s great news! Will we be getting some PEI sheets for the Snapmaker 2.0?

PEI sheets have been available from 3rd party for the 2.0 series for years now. I had a double-sided sheet before my first old A350 arrived. Don’t even need the included magnetic bed, just throw it on the 2.0 heatbed, recalibrate, off you go.

I’ve been using the Fulament 3.0 for a while now, and I like it! I was just hoping for some more official options like this one for the Artisan.

@Zoe I posted a few days ago about this and asked if I could just buy another glass bed (the piece that clips into the frame) if I want to retain the ability to print on glass. I never got a response. This kit takes that capability away on whatever bed you apply it to.

I’ve asked myself the same thing. PEI is nice for some applications but there is a reason snapmaker switched to glass in Artisan (hope so).
So how can I switch back to glass once i installed the PEI. As long as the clips in top are dismantled the glass bed wont stay in place. Isnt it? Have I buy another heatbed with frame to use both?

I like the shiny surface that glass provides. I also find it easier to ensure adhesion on glass using glue stick than on untreated PEI, and glass is easier to clean.

Sorry, there is currently no plan for 2.0. :smiling_face_with_tear:

Hi @TheBum @Wyphorn

Thank you all for the feedback.

We are collecting user feedback on this request, after a few days of internal discussions, we think that users should be able to get some separate parts to keep using the original glass plate at the same time.

If you wish to revert to using the glass plate after installing the PEI steel plate, we do not recommend that users modify it themselves. Instead, you could contact customer service to purchase the relevant glass platform accessories, which are expected to be in stock by the end of October. For more information, please contact customer service at info@snapmaker.com. Thank you!
