The Official Bracing Kit and 200W CNC Bundle for Snapmaker 2.0

Got up to take a hot tub and the order page was free and clear. Read these comments and finished my tub and the first batch was sold out! Price is more reasonable than the DX.

This is excellent, and much less than expected! I purchased 2 bracing kits before I knew of a discount. Is there a way to have that retroactively added?

is thi s the exact same CNC unit as the Artisan? because that unit doesn’t work with the 2.0, does that mean it now will work with a firmware update or something?

Yes. Exact the same 200W CNC Module as the one for the Artisan. It would require a firmware update for using it on Snapmaker 2.0. You can learn more info about its performance in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YCwWXlYGtiQ

oh man i’m devastated i literally just got the artisan CNC module working with my 2.0 today!!

Just Ordered the bundle, roll on April. Hopefully by then my Handwheel project wiÄŗl be complete too so I can start CNC machining some projects I have been holding back on due to the limitations of the current setup.

That came faster than expected - I’m very tempted to get the 200 W bundle… I’m as always confused by Snapmaker’s pricing - I find the 200W bundle acceptable in price, while the bracing kit seems to me to be a bit expensive for what it delivers…
Whatever, thanks for giving us this option, Snapmaker!

@Jade: If I want to use the 200W CNC with the Quick Swap Kit, do I need a separate toolhead plate?

Hi to all those that had a chance to pre-test the bracing kit: How is it with milling debris on the Y-modules? I can imagine that there are problems with the small wheels of the bracing plate encountering this debris, leading to bumpy rides or even blockades… Any such experiences during first testing?

Ordered. Thanks Jade. Next up is a AMS or MMU clone. If I was going to copy something it would be the ā€˜lite’ version.

\o/ Ordering now, thank you! Start of the year is turning out to be quite exceptional.

Just wondering for the people ordering this who have the linear rail mod: are you planning on bracing the Y-axis? I’m still on the fence; Y-axis is very rigid as it is, but I guess it couldn’t hurt… I’ll probably brace X and Z first and Y later if it turns out to be needed.

Yea, I ordered it… honestly, given the price point, it’s cheap to get a much improved CNC (the one thing I never use).

If you have any of the bigger heads, you can see how they ā€˜tweak’ the machine with a little pressure. Hopefully this helps.

Does it work with the quick release (snap on) plates installed?

I’m curious as to what gcode differences Luban produces depending on which of the 50W and 200W CNC you have selected. As I need to use older version of Luban on Mojave. Do the 50 and 200w have different gcode commands? I’m guessing not. My controller has the latest firmware.

Yes. The Bracing Kit is designed to be used with or without the Quick Swap Kit.
You can learn more in FAQs:

Yes. If you want to use that with your existing Quick Swap Kit, you can use the toolhead quick swap plate from any of your existing toolheads, or buying an additional toolhead quick swap plate here:

I just pre-ordered the blazing kit unbundled.

To begin with, I find the Snapmaker 2.0 linear module to be structurally flawed with respect to planar torsion.

I also purchased a rotary module, but it tilts when loaded, and the cantilever moment rapidly degrades the linear module.

And yet, I paid for and reserved the purchase…

This is the most disappointing purchase I have made with Snapmaker 2.0.

Jade.
Please sell a maintenance kit for the linear module as well.
A set of bearings and POM plastic nuts.

I have to buy the linear module because I can’t get replacement parts for only a few dollars.

I say again and again, please sell maintenance kits.
