Spindle speed adjust

In the recommended parameters for the 200w CNC cutting

https://wiki.snapmaker.com/en/general/recommended_parameters_for_200w_cnc_module

Acrylic has a recommended spindle speed of 9000 (50% of full speed). I know if I edit the G-code I can change that, but am I correct that there is no way in Luban to change the spindle speed? That seems wrong - surely SM would allow that change to happen in Luban if they recommend it, right?

There’s no way to change it in Luban, you’ll either have to do it manually, or do your CAM work in different software.

Hi @FAS

For the CNC motor spindle speeds, please refer to this FAQ: What are the CNC motor spindle speeds for the Snapmaker Artisan/2.0/Original 3-in-1 3D printer? Are they adjustable? – Snapmaker.

Additionally, the spindle speed can be adjusted via the screen. You can check this video here.

Yes, and it seems like this should be in Luban? I should be able to dump an svg into Luban and it works, not I have to adjust the code or change it on the touchscreen to conform to the recommended parameters that Snapmaker publishes.

This spindle speed option is not visible when a project is loaded, at least for me.
I don’t really know how to reduce the spindle speed…
I even edit the gcode and put the M3 P100 (which is the max. spindle speed) to say P60 or 65, but when I load the project the spindle speed is still 12k RPM
Is there any solution?

What happens when you swipe on the touch screen like in the video? Can you get to the spindle speed screen? Or does it not show up on your machine?

It really is a stupid way to have to adjust the speed! It should be in the processing, not post processor.

When i swipe the screen (after load project) i have no option for spindle speed, before that i see options to adjust speed

Agree for this nonsense

After starting (active movement) the project?

Same, only option is Work speed.

Strange situation,
In Vectric create toolpath for image, set spindle speed and other parameters, and when load file (.cnc) to Snapamker again is spindle speed on max. (12000 rpm), and estimated time is wrong of course. In Vectric 41 min, in Snapmaker 1:16

Is it real?
