Generic Filament not showing on snorca for SM2

I have just installed snorca for the first time. Connecting to the SM2 is not straight forward as it won’t find the device and I have just worked out how to add my IP address (which it doesn’t save for some reason) so I have to add it every time I open the program.

Anyway, when I go to select the filament, the generic and breakway do not show. It only shows polylight and snapmaker. I’ve tried searching everywhere on how to overcome this but have not found anything. Has anyone encountered this problem and been able to resole it. Thanks.

Can you be more specific? What tab are you on – the Prepare tab? A screenshot would help people see the context.

I don’t know whether this will turn out to be relevant, but setting up SnOrca you get to choose the range of filament you can select from on Prepare. You can get to that menu from the little settings icon alongside “Filament Management” down the left panel:

Sorry, I have included some screenshots. In the drop down in the prepare screen, I only get polylight and snapmaker. I have included all filaments as you can see from the other screenshot.

I wonder if it’s because you have everything in every section ticked? Might be worth taking 5 minutes to remove what you don’t have/use & see if it appears then?

As maybe it has a limit to how many can be shown at one time?

All I can say is other people seem to have similar problems, eg Snapmaker orca 2.2.4 machine filament is not showing

Ooooo, so another SnOrca bug… I only use it if I need the full spectrum rest of the time I use the vanilla Orca

Snapmaker Orca V2.2.4 was a while ago. I think the latest version V2.3.4 has fixed this issue.

@filecon How the version of your Snapmaker Orca?

Would the suggestion here make any difference:

Can you help me export the system logs from Orca and send it to https://snapmaker.formcrafts.com/u1-troubleshooting-request?

I’ve upgraded to 2.3.5.

I have only selected a few filaments

I still don’t see the generic filaments

Still no good.

Does it make any difference if you set the printer here to be “U1”?

I am not sure if this is your issue, but I was having the same issue and then realized that after a Snorca update, it was defaulted to a 0.2 mm nozzle instead of the 0.4 I have installed. Changed that and all was back to normal!
