Skipping a section

i setup the current gcode to allow skipping with orca slicer.

i only recently learned that this could be a thing after one part failed on the modified print head i have while i wait for a replacement print bed and print unit under warranty. (currently at 1.3 x off set) due to auto call and manual cals failing and destroying the pei sheet.

current print is going well but has 20 parts and should one of these come loose i would like to stop the print in that area, but i didn’t see the option in the screen prior to leaving as it was just getting started.

if this is not available is it available in octoprint and i use that for execution?

Octoprint and it’s plugin cancel-object is able to do what you want but I’m not sure if orca slicer is able to insert the trigger information.

But be cautious, the runout and power loss protection does not work if you print with octoprint.

shouldn’t be an issue i have a Ups on the unit that should cover any shortages i have. i will try it on a small print and see what happens.

currently running in to an issue where it just stops printing with no error. if you restart it will go for a short time then stop again. only way i have found past it is to shut it off and do power loss recovery…. so if i cant figure that out i guess i will need to pick a lesser evil.

Export your logs and see what is causing this problems.

Parsing error could be wrong gcode like comments without ; before.
Did you modify the custom gcode-section in orca? (like toolchange or start/end gcode)
