Replacing Touch Display with Pi + Screen?

So I just got done getting octoprint set-up for the snapmaker and was thinking of adding a 7" touch screen I had for controls.

It occured to me though, has anyone tried installing android on a Pi and installing snapmakers touch software onto the pi?

We dont have the touchscreen software and snapmaker made only the controller firmware open source.
I guess there is no chance…
Try opening a support request and we will see, if you share

Theoretically, you can throw away everything but axis…

Yeah I’m not sure if there’s a solution with Luban, but with octo print if you have a touch screen, there;s 2 plugins you can add that makes the icons larger so touch control is easier.

I just wanted to see if anyones tried specifically with luban

Not sure what you mean.

Alternatively to the touchscreen it would be possible to use only luban (in most cases but you would not be able to easily calibrate your machine, etc…).

also thought about something like that but not the octoprint for sure - it most likely will damage bed when calibrates. Happend twice to me
