Project Summary
Printventory 3.0 is a free, self-hosted, local-first management system designed to streamline the entire 3D printing workflow for makers. The Printventory project has been developed and maintained for the past 3 years by TechJeeper, powered by community contributions. Initially built as a high-performance 3D model library featuring AI tagging, automatic thumbnails, and broad file support (.stl, .3mf, .svg, .zip and many more), version 3.0 transforms Printventory into a comprehensive workshop operating system.
For a multi-toolhead machine like the U1, managing materials is just as critical as managing models. Printventory 3.0 introduces robust Filament Management to track spool usage and color availability, ensuring U1 users can confidently plan their multi-material 3MF projects. The new Printer Management module allows users to track their hardware ecosystem, while the Parts Inventory system organizes project components such as bearings, screws, motors and more.
This project is submitted as an “Original New Idea,” conceived and independently developed by TechJeeper. By integrating model organization directly with filament and hardware tracking, Printventory 3.0 eliminates the need for scattered spreadsheets and disconnected apps, giving Snapmaker U1 users a single, unified dashboard (available via Desktop or Docker) to manage their entire digital and physical maker ecosystem.
