Octoprint and IDEX problem: extruders run into each other

I have a J1s. I slice my STL files with Cura 5.8, with the Snapmaker_J1 plugin, then upload the gcode to Octoprint, attached to my J1s thru the (back) USB port. I have discovered that the gcodes so loaded print differently, compared to gcodes loaded off a thumb drive thru the front USB, or uploaded over WiFi.
