I am doing some questionable prints which often result in notifications when AI detects things like spaghetti. However, I haven’t received a single notification on the Snapmaker app when these issues occur, so I have no idea that it even has occurred until I open the app and see that the toolhead isn’t moving. The app doesn’t even show me that there is a problem when I open it!
Is this normal behavior? This is frustrating. My printer will sit idle waiting for a response for hours because I am at work and I do not know there is even anything wrong! How do I fix this so I get notifications?
Btw- I’m an android power user, so I definitely have notifications enabled (even in silent mode) on my phone.
I also use Bambu Handy, and when I have errors on there I get audio notifications as well as a popup alerting me to an issue that needs resolving. Isn’t that what the Snapmaker App should do, as well?
Suggest to write to Snapmaker Support and open a ticket. Not sure whether they are reading here all the time.
Thanks for letting me know. I was kind of wondering what was up, since this forum is rather bare!
The problem with submitting an issue to support privately is that it doesn’t facilitate community knowledge. Sure, maybe I can get resolution, but wouldn’t it be best if others commented and shared their ideas or thoughts, and were able to see how to fix this (if possible), rather than support keeping this problem private so others do not even know it is being addressed? This model seems broken and outdated.

Although I rarely use the mobile app, I’ll help follow up on this issue and provide an official reply here.

I agree with you but you could share your ticket content and it’s responses so everyone would stay informed.
The APP push-notification feature was delayed; it will be added in the next version update at the end of March.
Crazy when you consider that in their last update, the change log shows that it was added to the app already!
Let me quietly tell you: because we started planning the model repository, the APP development was delayed by one version.
The product manager is stretched thin and is hiring!! Hope you understand!
That actually makes me feel better. It was worse when it looked like the developer implemented the feature yet it still didn’t work. He really should modify the changelog so it doesn’t continue to look like that to others.
Is the new version still planned to be released today? Release date was the 24th of this month, right?
Currently, only the Google Play Store is still under review; results should be coming soon.
