My Snapmaker Contest Submission #snapmakerGT

Hey everyone, I’m excited to share my submission for the Snapmaker contest. My theme is a spine-chilling drive-in movie theater haunted by a ghostly rusty 1969 Ford Mustang, which prowls the grounds on Halloween night. :jack_o_lantern::ghost:The Diorama is approximately 1:22 scale.

You can check out the other contest submissions here, there’s a lot of good ones!

Once again totally blown away by your creation. Time I upped my game

Unfortunately i’m not artistic at all

Just a question, do you keep all your creations on display? If so Id love to see a pan shot of them all lined up.

Thanks! I’m glad you liked it.

You should definitely post some more of your creations, I really like your arcade unit. I think there’s a bit of overlap in theme in what we create so Im interested in what you come up with.

I do keep most of my creations, though some are stored away but I’ll see what I have that’s readily available in my studio and do some panning video shots tomorrow. :sunglasses:

Edit: I think the forum is being glitchy. I trired to directly respond to your post but it’s not showing that I did, instead it just looks like a regular post. Hmmmm

Thanks for the kind words, Im still designing the bartop arcade Im trying to implement a dynamic marquee on a separate screen which will show the relevant image for the game being played. It`s really stretching the limits of the Snapmaker cutting area.

I look forward to your panoramic sweep of all your creations. If I get some time I`ll post some more of mine.

That’s awesome! I cannot wait to see when you finish that. What kind of display are you going to use for the marquee? Also, what machine are you using to cut everything? An A350?

The marquee is a Waveshare 11.9" 320 x 1480 pixel screen. Everything will be done on my A350, i`m hopefully going to do some test pieces this weekend so fingers crossed they fit.

Cool, I’ll check that display out. Plesse post some photos and video, very interested to see how it turns out.

Here are some short videos of the Dynamic Marquee in action, I’ve just got the screens sat on my diningroom table. The housing design is almost finished, just having to reduce the height to fit it on the Snapmaker.

That is super cool! If I recall you have a Raspberry Pi under the hood? Is it outputting to both displays or do you have a separate unit?
Can’t wait to see it when its done. Would love to see a few SEGA Arcade classics on there, that would bring out 10 year old me

Its a single Raspberry Pi 4 controlling both screens. Hopefully I’ll get time this weekend to start cutting out some of the panels.
