Has anyone tried the laser on Corian? I have 2 scrap pieces to try it on, one white, one black and was looking for any suggestions.
Haven’t tried it. It’s definitely something that can be lasered safely.
Not sure if the SM is powerful enough.
The white probably won’t absorb enough energy without using dry erase marker or sharpie or something like that.
Worth playing around with.
Let us know your results.

You can laser on Corian. It is similar to acrylic, and you need to cover some tape on its surface.

Here is what I have tried so far:
White - nothing added - not a scratch
White with sticky over work area - Top engraving on white
White with sharpie method over work area - Bottom engraving on white
Black - nothing added - worked nicely

I did a few more tests. I changed to 4 pass’s and I used the sharpie method and this gave a really nice return on the white. I also did a 4x pass with blue painters tape masking the work area and this turned out nicely also.
