Laser Accuracy Seem Off

I made up a cut test board of circles, in LightBurn. All of the circles come out with a funky offset:

Has anyone seen this, before? Is there a correction for this, or is there something wrong with my machine (A350)?

I’ve done a good amount of CNC and I didn’t notice this, but it’s very slight and might not have presented in the type of cutting I did. Now I want to get into some laser work, but this concerns me…

That’s backlash. Add an M425 to your job header in Lightburn with the correct amount of backlash.

However, if your backlash is much more than 0.02mm you have a hardware issue and should consider disassembling the wobbly axis and tightening up the eccentric nuts following sdj’s wonderful guide:

After poking around the forums and some feedback from a few folks in the Facebook support group, I took the plunge and dismantled the linear module. Adjusted the eccentric screw to tighten the grip against the rails. I now have circular circles.

I did manage to mangle the limit switch, but I was able to repair it.
