Hello,
Is there a way to keep the bed heated at 60 degrees while performing the auto/manual leveling process?
I’ve set the bed to 60 but as soon as I jump out of the control screen the bed starts cooling down.
By the time the autolevel process is on the 15th position, the bed has already cooled to 40 degrees. Ideally we do all leveling of the bed while it’s warmed at working temp.
Thanks
Not currently. If it’s on it causes problems with the sensor. There’s talk of fixing it in firmware so it would cycle off and on, but not yet.
Heat it up to 10º above your printing temp. Let it get up to heat.
If you have time let it sit at that temp for 15-30 minutes. If you don’t, it usually is good enough.

Some people have said you can heat it hot like 80c… stabilize it there for an hour and then do a calibration. As it goes down. Another guy suggested heating the bed with the screws loose. Then when it’s warm, tighten them. And do your calibration warm.
We’ll see when my new head arrives
I usually heat up my bed to 65°C and then do the calibration, even without waiting - just start as soon as 65° is reached. And my results are not too bad, at least for midsized prints. Did not yet very large prints, so I may be in for a surprise still.
You could do so if you connect your machine with usb/serial connection to your pc and heat the bed with luban or any other terminal.
After preheating you are able to run the calibration from the touchscreen.
There is some discussion in the forum about magnetic-heat problems of the proximity sensor but I never had a problem about and the described routine works well all the time for me.
Thank you all for your comments.
