Has anyone else had this issue and error code? 0003-0522-0100-0006

Hi all.

Just curious whether anyone else had this issue, and if so, what was the end result?

I started a print, then a few layers in it stopped dead with the error code of 0003-0522-0100-0006. I’ve checked the WiKi for the code and no luck, but all four toolheads are dead (No light, connection etc.). I’ve rebooted numerous times to no avail, even pulled the lead and left for 30 minutes just in case lol.

I’ve raised a ticket, but was just curious if anyone else has had this issue?

Cheers

Google the code, you will see plenty of results.

Cheers.

Just done a step by step on the heads though, and it turned out that both Toolhead 1, and Toolhead 3 are buggered either on PCB or another part of them. If I get around to it I’ll do a strip down of each head and check for shorts etc etc etc lol

I’m assuming that a fault on one of the heads also took out the other one, but it could be coincidence, although a one in a million one if it is :face_savoring_food: .

Luckily I had a spare Toolhead for both as I purchased one of each just in case after the issues I had half way through my first ever cute dragon print when I first got the U1.

I’m going to request replacement heads though as with the previous issue, and now this, I don’t think it should be down to me to foot the bill on a printer that’s less than 12 months old.

Anyways, if anyone else does experience this code, unplug all your heads, then plug them back in one at a time. The working ones will connect, and the faulty ones stop all heads from connecting.

It seems very odd that two toolheads get the same physical fault simultaneously.

IIRC the Paxx firmware allows you to “ignore” faulty toolheads and carry on with the remaining ones (instead of one toolhead fault stopping the whole printer).

I know. I have had random problems with Head 3 though, which an ‘ignore and continue’ worked with, so maybe it is a coincidence??

Regardless, problem solved fingers crossed, but It’s starting to feel like the good old Creality days when I couldn’t trust a print to complete lol

EDIT:

Just did a Google search, and someone had something simlilar (Lights on, but no connection). In their case it turned out to be a faulty cable from U1 internal USB Hub and after they swapped it with a known good one it all seemed fine, so I’m going to give that a check as well before I do anymore prints I think just to be on safe side.

You could open a support ticket anyway:

Already done thanks :upside_down_face:

Ok, as much as I have my doubts about quality consistency with regards to the first couple of U1 release batches, I genuinely cannot fault their customer service.

After a very short exhange of report issue, please check this, checked and still an issue, they are sending me 2 replacement Toolhead PCB Boards.
