Well this has been quite the investigation for you, so glad you were able to sort it. I am likely to be printing TPU in the very near future and would be interested in some detail about the Bondtech gears. Could you possibly copy a link to them? At least that way I might be prepared in case of similar issues.

It certainly has been a journey… Time, failed prints, parts that weren’t needed… but, its great now its been solved.

The J1S is a great machine… but I’m yet to come across a more capable machine that can handle multicolour TPU… and one that doesn’t need tinkering… it’s just part of the deal with 3D Printers.
I agree, I really like the J1S, mine has performed almost flawlessly for the past year.
