is it possible to set some kind of threshold for generating auto support?
the idea being that the size of the required support determines whether or not a support is actually generated.
I’ve found that size really only matters for tall and thin objects. For most objects, it either needs supports or it doesn’t, regardless of how small or large they are. Tall and thin can be a challenge, even with brims, rafts, and supports.
In Cura there are a few settings for how it generates the support.
Chiefly you can choose the support overhang angle.
