v2.3.2-fos.8.6.0
The 8.6 release; includes both 8.5.7 betas.
- New filament to nozzle map - any filament can be wired to any nozzle and is sliced for that nozzle’s line width, speed and flow, with the filament dropdowns filtered to match. New multi-material supply support starting with multiACE - mode, units and toolheads under Printer settings → Machine → Accessory, Read from printer, Send to multiACE, and the physical nozzle diameters written into every G-code header.
- New translucent filaments (a Translucent flag and percentage, checkered swatches in the map, a Solid | Translucent preview switch) and a HEX field in the filament color dialog.
- Three slicing guards: first layer line width now follows each nozzle instead of one global value; slicing refuses a used filament with no nozzle, naming how it is used; and refuses a map the hardware cannot load, with counts.
- Fixed a permanent repaint loop from the 8.5 tab strips that burned a full CPU core and made 3mf loading crawl (also fixes those tabs in dark mode), project import no longer floods the UI, a project with more filaments than nozzles no longer reopens as a 20-nozzle printer, the map is no longer empty on a fresh start, and nozzle-panel flicker during preset changes is gone. See Filament to Nozzle Map and Supply Systems.
