Is this an error or a user mistake?

Hi everyone, I’d like to hear from users who, like me, own both a J1 or J1S and a U1, and who use Snapmaker Orca.

I configure my U1 with Snapspeed filaments, for example,

When I switch from my U1 to the J1, there are no issues in Snapmaker Orca:

But when switching back from the J1 to the U1, the filaments revert to this mode with generic filaments:

Yet, if I switch back from the U1 to the J1, the correct filament settings remain intact:

I haven’t checked if other parameters are affected, which makes me a bit worried about losing configurations due to a return to default settings.

Could anyone check if you have the same issue?

We still need to determine whether it’s just the filaments reverting to generic mode or if other settings are also affected, and whether this is a bug or not.

Thanks in advance to everyone.

Stéphane

are those filaments synced from the printer or presets you made in the slicer? the switch mapping treats those two differently iirc

Filaments are defined in the slicers, the printer is not online! Thanks for your feedback #masterPrinter1

Hi, I tested on my side and when I switched the printer U1/J1/A350(no printers are actually online), under “Filament Management”, the first two filament profiles stay the same, the 3rd and 4th are randomly changing.

slicer-side then, good to know. Zoe_M’s repro with the 3rd/4th profiles randomly changing, starting to feel like a mapping bug. hopefully :crossed_fingers:

So, the bug needs to be reported to the developer!

Move to Snorca category?
