Continue print with any filament (resolved!)

Sometimes I don’t care what color the print uses and want to use up some partial rolls just to make a functional part. Would like to see an option to just continue the print with any color PLA that is loaded in the machine so long as it is the same type of material. I know I could just set them all to match colors and spec but sometimes I have almost enough of a roll to do a job and just would like it to finish no matter what other roll it uses without having to reset all the colors.

If this is specific to the U1, please add the U1 tag (or I can).

But there is an option. If the color is the same and the manufacturer uses the other color, it will print from the other color. If you set it to Generic, it will print from the other color.

Function was added with FW 1.5.0

  1. Added the Allow auto-refill with different colors option for Auto-Refill. You can enable it under Settings > Print Preferences.
