Color picture to multi-color print with AI

Hey everyone,

I’m struggling to find a process flow solution. My daughter loves to draw and I want to take one of her drawings, have AI convert it to a figurine model maintaining the color scheme, then import into Orca as a multicolor print.

I’ve tried Meshy, Tripo, and Hitem3D, and while each of them can make the model with the color, when I import as a 3MF or OBJ, it still shows it as a single color. I’m being a bit lazy and want to avoid manual painting it because some of here drawings are very intricate.

Since I also have a few Bambu printers here, I’ll give MakerWorld a try — it features an AI Model Assistant (Image-to-3D Model) that generates 3D models from 2D drawings, though you need Maker Points for that…
