Changing the filament color?

I don’t see a recent thread on changing the filament during a print, Is it possible?

Hi Rebecca,

so, you have to wait for that time, it can’t be programmed to stop at a certain point?
Thank you for the info, btw.

3rd party slicers have this ability, such as prusaslicer. Prusaslicer also comes with snapmaker profiles built in. After you slice a file and in the preview, you can click a little + sign to add a color change.

Thank you! I have been hesitant to branch out with different slicers until I know what I’m really doing, and what exactly to expect. Maybe it’s that time!!

It can be a lot, but you get used to the power of the slicer quick and realize you can do so much more.

with a different slicer, can the print speed also be increased?

Indeed it can. There’s an entire speed section in Prusaslicer under print sections that you can tweak.

Awesome! Thanks for all your help!

I remember Cura provided settings to support changing the filament during the printing process.
