Hello everyone, in Snapmaker Orca I can’t change the print bed type for either my J1S or my U1. By default in Snapmaker Orca 2.1.5, the print bed selection window is locked to textured PEI for the U1, which is correct since that’s the type of bed that came with the machine. For my J1S, the default option is “High Temperature Smooth,” even though it’s smooth on one side and PEi on the other. Can I change it for the J1S, or does that seem okay? I’d also like to try new print beds from various manufacturers, like carbon fiber sheets with different textures, but I can’t change the print bed type in Snapmaker Orca. Is that a problem? The main thing is to calibrate the build plate with the print head after changing the print bed, as some are thicker than others. Has anyone already done tests like this on U1? Thanks for your replies. Stéphane

I agree it would be nice to have a separate build plate option for other build plates like the BIQU Frostbite (and perhaps others, (Smooth PEI Plate, BIQU Glacier) so the Textured PEI plate settings can be separate.
Perhaps a way to add our own build plates as options, or even just to be able to rename some (4) options slots so Snapmaker Orca can save all of the build plate related settings**?**
I have just received the BIQU Frostbite build plate and modified the Textured PEI settings for now.
Thanks
