For printing models and figurines should i use ABS or PLA filament.
Also what’s should be the best option if i want to paint the same. while type of painting colours should be used.
Pla is way easier to print, start with pla and if you need more temperature resistent models print abs.
As for painting them, any paint that sticks to plastic (or primer that sticks to plastic + paint that sticks to primer) should work. I’ve used FolkArt’s Multi-Surface Acrylic, either on its own or as a base coat for generic acrylic, when I’ve needed to hand-paint one of my prints.
And yeah, start with PLA. ABS is finicky and tends to warp.
