A quick U1 puppy print

Printed the Classic Pocket Beagle size (link below) to bring to my niece tonight. I think she’ll love him. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

A1 Mini (0.2mm Standard) with an AMS Lite would be 4h40m, 47g of filament.

U1 (0.16mm Optimal) actual was 2h15m, 21g of filament.

Printed at higher quality in half the time and filament (model is 14g alone, 7g prime tower).

For further comparison to the U1 with the 0.2mm Standard profile, SM Orca quoted 1h20m and only 17g. Since it was already so fast, I decided to try one of the nicer quality settings, and he turned out great!

Time lapse:

And for those who say, “zomg look at those jagged color lines it’s awful,” here is a comparison between the pre-painted model in the slicer versus the print. As I like to say, the machine reproduces exactly what I slice, whether you like it or not.

I don’t think she’ll mind.

The eagle-eyed might notice in the timelapse there’s flecks over the legs at the joints. I didn’t notice while slicing, but there were single strands of unsupported incomplete overhangs over the legs at the joints for this model. (Mid-air extrusions.) It left a little strand of filament sticking out at each leg that I just plucked off.
