Hello all!! I am still trying to learn of all the cool stuff that this thing can do, and I keep seeing videos of the laser engraver doing color engraving on metal. I’ve tried to look up information on the internet, but it seems that my search is not providing the answers I need. Is there something special that has to be done to get the color to come out? Is it only metal that can do the color, or can you do it with wood or ceramic too? Do I have to have the 40w laser or can the 20w laser handle the task?? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
there would probably be a way to engrave in colour on titanium. titanium changes colour depending on how hot it gets, so controlling exactly how much to heat each part of the titanium would change it to different colours, but only in the spectrum of colours that titanium can show:
