I see a lot of recommendation for 0.2 mm layers but nothing about 0.08. I’ve tried the common recommendations for 0.2mm but nothing seems to work. I also am going to experiment with PETG supports with PLA prints if anyone has tips for that too. Does anyone have recommendations or solutions? Anything will help
Please tell us, what do you want to achieve and where are you struggling?
As per the others more information is needed as to what you are trying to achieve?
Using PETG for support set the support gap to zero and iron it for lovely smooth surfaces and make sure the outer part of your prime tower is the main filament type and support inside so it doesn’t fall over
I cant get the supports to not fuse to my print. I would like it not to do that.
are you using same materials for both support and model or different like above?
I’ve been using the same material but I cant get good settings for it. So I’m wanting to try different. Tips or advice for either would be very much appreciated.
I normally use the default gap settings, but change the top interface layers to 3 and turn on ironing support interface at default settings
I agree with Cold Coffee
Support - Filaments for Supports
Support/raft base - Default
Support/raft Interface - PETG
Support - Advanced
Top Z distance - 0mm
Top Interface layers - 3 layers
Bottom Z distance - 0mm
Bottom Interface layers - 3 layers
Bottom Z and Interface settings are for supports that are not on the build plate, they can be skipped if this is disabled.
I use .08 interface distance on PLA.
Doesn’t fuse, but you better not use a knife or sharp end, use a screw driver and you can pop it off no problem.
