My Artisan is busy printing 3D but fortunately I have the 350T with a 10 watt laser so I can keep learning.
- Run of the mill pocketknife
- Brilliance Black Metal Laser Spray on one side
- Brilliance Red Metal Laser Spray on the other side.
Settings: - On the Path
- Jog 3000
- Work 40
- Passes = 3
- Z Step = 1mm
- Laser = 100%
- Used the little rubber holders that come with the laser to tilt the knife where the edge was fairly level.
- Masking tape to hold the knife in place
Took just under 15 minutes per side.
I’m pretty happy for the first time I’ve ever etched stainless. Nice and even (to the naked eye) where the letters went across the top of the edge grind.
