Would it be possible to register a snapmaker u1 against multiple users

Perhaps you could expand a bit more on your thinking/use case scenario for this?

sure yeah that would probably help, so other people in the house would like to have their own snapmaker login and be able to use the printer, what we have worked out is currently it can only be bound to one user at a time.

There’s no need to register it with the cloud service at all – use it in LAN mode.

Changing to LAN mode means I lose the OTA update features, push notifications, away from home access.

Sure, but if you want multiple users you also need some means to ensure they don’t all submit a print job at once! I rather expected you were talking about a household.

These are not industrial machines, the U1 is a personal machine. It’s not designed for sharing in a multi-user environment. That doesn’t mean you can’t, but it won’t have been high on Snapmaker’s priorities.

Your feature request stands, I was only offering an alternative.

Thanks @CrazyIvan I’ll do some thinking on ways around my problems, the machine is popular in this house with my kids, currently I have gone with installing orca and logging in with the same snapmaker account on each machine.

Several posters have built software to run a fleet of printers, that includes queueing and scheduling. Let me see what I can find in the forums…

It does say it works in local mode, not cloud. I personally would be fine running without cloud most of the time, then switching to get the updates. It looks like the software includes remote access, but probably not push notifications. I think somebody else also wrote some management software, but I’m not finding it. I seem to recall reading about 2 or 3?

Hi Craig,

SnapCon does support push notifications including camera snapshots, as for the firmware updates, this will be included on the next release (0.7.0) as it’s being tested right now. Tonight I will release 0.6.0

If you have any missing feature in mind, feel free to tell me about it, I am open for more improvements.
