From image to svg: need help

Hi guys,
playing with the laser module and if I’m not wrong I need the image to be in svg format if I want to just engrave or cut the outline of the image, isn’t it?

I want to cut some sticker starting from some png. jpeg… image format. What do you use to convert the image to svg? Is there any simpler way to cut the outline of a jpeg image?

Svg works best for cutting paths.
Can engrave with any format.
Grayscale best with png or jpeg
Vector works best with svg and png.
Inkscape is great for converting stuff to vector and for exporting svg’s.

What is the difference from B&W and Vector? I saw this 2 option on the Laser Definitive Guide on the forum
