Hey everyone!
The final results of the Snapmaker U1 Innovation Fund Phase 1 are here!
We received 67 project submissions, and after technical committee review, community voting, and a one-week feedback period following the provisional announcement on October 9, 20 projects have been officially selected.
A huge thank-you to everyone who submitted a project, shared ideas, tested things out, voted, or gave feedback along the way. It’s exciting to see what the community is building around toolchanger 3D printing.
Meet the 20 winning projects:
We’ve put together a blog post featuring all the winners and their projects:
What’s next? Phase 2!
The next round of the Innovation Fund opens on October 28, 2026, with submissions closing on December 24, 2026.
Whether you’re a developer, maker, or U1 user, feel free to submit your project for the Innovation Fund Phase 2.
From workflow improvements to hardware experiments and entirely new tools, we’re looking forward to seeing what you come up with next.

Congrats to all 20 winners!
And we’d love to hear from you: What would you like to see makers explore in Phase 2?
Hi,
This is becoming overwhelming for a standard hobby user like me.
Will snapmaker be actively incorporating one or more of these projects into their own firmware/software?
Does Snapmaker formally back these and would we impact our warranty if we opt to use for instance the PAXX software?
Thanks.
John Fiott
It has been made clear from the outset that using community-developed firmware would not necessarily invalidate the warranty, but endorsement would be useful.
