It seems more than obvious that at some time, the hotend sock needs to be replaced, bit the item isn’t listed in the accessories shop - bit of a bummer. Having to write mails to support for such things is extremely inefficient.
I agree, but it is what it is. The same for a replacement heating block. You’re almost better off ordering a new hot-end and using the rest of the parts for spares. I just had to order a replacement stepper for my right extruder through a support ticket.
I assume Snapmaker wants to keep the Hotend complete. Maybe also one of the reasons why changing the nozzle only is not officially supported.
It does cut down on the number of SKUs they have to stock, which saves them money in inventory in the long run. You can get almost any part by contacting support and they ship it FedEx Priority to the US so it comes quickly from China. I just ordered a replacement stepper motor for my Dual Extrusion Module and it took exactly a week to arrive. Prior to that, I ordered a replacement heat block and metal feed tube.
