We went back and forth a lot when picking the time. It’s tricky to make both US/CA/APAC and Europe/Africa work at once. Hopefully this is just the first of many livestreams. If we host another livestream next time, we’ll make sure Europe/Africa gets a prime-time slot. Can’t join live? No worries. You can always catch the full replay on YouTube anytime.

Hi U1 backers, :waving_hand:

We’ve heard backers’ feedback regarding the Stretch Goal. Initially, there wasn’t a Stretch Goal so we could offer the U1 at the most affordable price. After listening to backers’ requests, we introduced one during our livestream.

Many Beta Testers discovered Hueforge through the U1 and found it useful for multi-color printing. Based on this, we’re providing backers with a Hueforge coupon to enhance the printing experience. Coupon validity is set by Snapmaker and Hueforge, and the Hueforge license itself is lifetime, not subscription-based. More info here: https://shop.thehueforge.com/

We’ve also added a no-threshold coupon for our official store, usable for U1 accessories later.

We recognize that every backer’s needs are different. This is the most we can offer at this time as a Stretch Goal :flexed_biceps:, and we hope it reflects our commitment to providing the best experience we can. Snapmaker will continue improving firmware, software, products, and shipping.

I dont get it. When you reach your stretch goal, the current backers will get something additional?

This is a try to keep the sales high and surf the Kickstarter wave?

Nice for all backers although the goal seems optimistic to reach in 18 days. :slight_smile:

Originally, Snapmaker did not plan to have a stretch goal. After receiving many requests from our community, we carefully considered it and decided to offer a stretch goal to give something extra back to all our backers. This was done to respond to backers’ feedback and provide additional value, not just to influence sales.
