I have a symmetric multi-color cylinder with 3 colors on one layer. I selected the setting under Quality: Wall ordering: Inside/Outside. Nevertheless, on one side of the cylinder, it prints the red and yellow colors first as the outer wall and then moves inward. (see screenshot). This is an extremely annoying bug. Can someone please help me?
The image shows that on the left, the outer wall is printed in yellow first and then it moves inward.
Hi, thanks for your detailed feedback and the screenshot.
I saw some previous discussions about color printing order issues and one experienced user explained that: when printing multi-color models, the slicing software sometimes automatically overrides the user’s “Wall Ordering” setting in order to:
· Reduce the number of filament changes
· Minimize stringing
· Ensure clean boundaries between color regions
So your reported is certainly a phenomenon worth investigating further.
