Does updating the modules as part of updating the firmware beyond V1.12.0 cause issues when trying to revert to a firmware version before V1.12.0? Or do the changes not cause any issues with previous firmware versions?
As far as I know there shouldn’t be any breaking changes that would require downgrading the modules. There may be some quirks for some of the reported values from the modules.

You just grab the file and install it. I went down to 1.12.2 when I had some issues. Didn’t fix my problem and I got support involved.
