# Pre-release Firmware for the Rotary Module

Given that some users have received the rotary module now. I am going to pre-release the firmware for the Rotary Module here.

[Snapmaker2\_V1.12.0\_20210318.bin](https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/snapmaker.com/download/firmware/Snapmaker2_V1.12.0_20210318.bin)

You need to upgrade the controller, touchscreen and three tool-heads. With [this version of the firmware](https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/snapmaker.com/download/firmware/Snapmaker2_V1.12.0_20210318.bin), the touchscreen will ask you to upgrade the tool-heads manually, which means that you need to upgrade them separately.

The auto-upgrading version will be released on April 1st.

Where’s the source code? Not publishing the source code is a violation of the license terms of the open source packages this firmware is based on.
